Knowledge is power.

Care systems make population-level recommendations about your and your baby’s care. Prepare for the birth you want by educating yourself on what these decisions really mean for you.

Some of my favourite local and online birth resources

  • pregnancy and postnatal physio

Niam Burns immediately puts you at ease, and is thorough and knowledgable. I highly recommend her and her new practice, The Pelvic Academy in North London.

  • Hypnobirth video

I love this birth video. It’s so peaceful! Though it’s not what my births looked or sounded like, I think it’s a beautiful example of what our bodies are capable of.

  • Spinning babies

Spinning babies is an incredibly in depth website that discusses fetal position in pregnancy and birth to help promote a more comfortable and easier birth.

  • KGHypnobirthing stories

These make for a a lovely read.

  • Prenatal and postnatal Pilates

I can highly recommend Eleah Waters. Her approach is truly caring and thoughtful. She serves the De Beauvoir area, London Fields, Victoria Park, etc.
